Dermot Small

Dermot is a consultant to the firm and has been with the practice since it established itself as a significant services design firm in the Melbourne market. He is directly involved in the design, documentation and project administration of the buildings and fitouts on which he works.

Within the firm he has an overseeing role in the contractual agreements that the company has with our clients, as well as responsibility for disseminating developments on OHS safety in design to our engineers and design team.

He has held a number of industry positions in both technical and non-technical capacity extending back over many years. These have included his participation as a member of the Australian Building Codes Board working group that developed the energy efficiency provisions for lighting and power incorporated in the Building Code of Australia since 2005. He is a past Chair of the ACEA (now Consult Australia) Victoria Division and was recognised for his work to the consulting engineering profession by being awarded life membership of Consult Australia in 2010
